The best street style from New York Fashion Week 2020

After a summer of style inspiration from Copenhagen and Oslo fashion weeks, international street-stylers are getting ready for the Big Four spring/summer 2020 shows in New York, London, Milan and Paris.
As ever, New York Fashion Week spring/summer 2020 (September 6 to 11) leads the way, but this season’s schedule sees a revamp spearheaded by Tom Ford as he begins his duties as chairman of the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA), after replacing Diane von Furstenberg in June.
A shorter week and changed-up time slots have made way for a whole host of NYFW unmissable moments: Vaquera, CDLM/Creatures of The Wind and Section 8 will present a joint show. Tom Ford, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger (who returns in partnership with Euphoria star Zendaya) have brand-new spots on the calendar. And some serious anniversaries are being celebrated: Vera Wang marks 30 years after a two-year hiatus, while Becca McCharen-Tran of Chromat and Prabal Gurung commemorate a decade each.
Navigating the new order will be editors and influencers from around the globe. As summer’s warm weather continues in New York City, we can expect that Scandi staple — the mellow cotton dress — to make a significant appearance, as will painterly silk pyjamas, architectural trench coats, supersized chain necklaces and barely-there sandals. Here, Vogue’s Jonathan Daniel Pryce (@garconjon) captures the very best looks.
