The best street style from London Fashion Week 2020
Fashion month is in full swing and from September 13 to 17 the industry’s leading lights are stationed at the second stop on the biannual roadshow: London.
Over the course of the week, emerging and established names will present their spring/summer 2020 collections. Big-hitters Burberry and Victoria Beckham are both in attendance, with the latter also launching her long-awaited beauty brand. Meanwhile, Alexa Chung, Henry Holland and Self-Portrait are hosting the Big Four’s first public-facing runway shows, albeit presenting their autumn/winter '19/'20 collections, rather than the latest designs. This season’s wave of populism is visible outside the show venues, too, where climate campaign group Extinction Rebellion are staging demonstrations calling for the event to be cancelled. It culminates in a mock funeral procession, titled London Fashion Week: Rest in Peace.
Alongside the protests and pageantry, there’s plenty to see on the streets, as editors, buyers and models showcase their favourite pieces. How to navigate London’s famously changeable weather? Take your cues from the best dressed, as captured by Vogue photographer Jonathan Daniel Pryce.
